Ames, IA – VisionBank is pleased to donate $1000 to Habitat for Humanity of Central Iowa to support the organization’s mission to build homes, communities and hope.
The financial contribution made to the Central Iowa chapter was given to provide assistance as the organization moves its office space, retail store and storage all under one roof in the building formerly occupied by Heartland Baptist Church on Grand Avenue. The donation will also be used towards the completion of a house-build in Ames.
“VisionBank is committed to building up our communities, so it’s a privilege to come alongside organizations like Habitat for Humanity,” said Kurt Matthewson, Ames/Huxley Market President for VisionBank. “Habitat is a leader when it comes to caring for our neighbors, and we want to follow their example and support their efforts.”
The donation is part of a long tradition VisionBank has in supporting Habitat for Humanity throughout the bank’s market communities. The Central Iowa Chapter includes board member Lana Stoelting, credit analyst for VisionBank. In Ogden and Boone, VisionBank staff have served as board members, Habitat Build volunteers, and event volunteers for the Heart of Iowa chapter serving Boone, Greene and Guthrie Counties. The VisionBank Grimes location completed its 5th Annual Panel Build in October 2017.
