Scam Alert: If you own a home, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll need a contractor at one point or another. Unfortunately, finding a good one is easier said than done. According to a new study, one in 10 Americans has fallen victim to a contractor scam. The types of scams run the gamut, but baby boomers tend to be the most vulnerable, with 15% saying they’ve been a victim. Millennials were second-most likely to be victimized, at 13%.

VisionBank Announces New Marketing Communications Officer Eve Lederhouse

Iowa – August 31, 2015 – VisionBank is pleased to announce the hiring of Eve Doi Lederhouse as Marketing and Communications Officer. She will office primarily out of the Duff Avenue VisionBank branch, but will direct marketing and communications efforts for all eight locations throughout Central Iowa.

Eve is an Iowa State alumnus with more than 20 years of corporate and creative communications experience. After four years in the Chicagoland area, Eve is returning to Ames where she previously served as the Vice President of Communications and Operations for the Ames Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Commission.

"We are pleased to have Eve join our team. Eve brings a great new perspective and wealth of experience coupled with a great network she had cultivated throughout our communities," said Dan Boes, Vice President of Retail Banking.

When asked about her new position Eve said, "I am excited to be a part of the growing VisionBank Team. I love the diversity of the communities and customers we serve, and I look forward to what’s ahead for us. My family and are so pleased to be (back) in Central Iowa"

Eve, her husband, Bryan, and their 2 year old daughter Kenna reside in Ames.
