VisionBank President, Kurt Kuta, announced that VisionBank achieved 100 percent employee participation in the United Way Annual Campaign. With a 60 percent match by the bank, the donation will be over $18,000. This overall contribution exceeds the 2011 bank-wide contribution by more than 40%.

“The three United Way chapters that serve our bank’s footprint make a huge, positive impact on the lives of so many people through the organizations they fund” said Kuta. “I am thankful to our Board of Directors for the company match to leverage our staff’s donation dollars to make an even larger impact.  The 100 percent participation and the significant increase in dollars pledged by the staff and company shows not only our support for the United Way, but a strong commitment to our communities.”

VisionBank is located in five (5) communities and served by three (3) chapters of United Way: United Way of Boone County, United Way of Story County and United Way of Central Iowa. Employees filled out pledge cards the week of October 22nd. Employees had the option of donating to the United Way chapter of their choice and could either give a one-time donation or set up payroll deduction.

“We are so proud of our employees and their commitment to their communities. Their effort reinforces their commitment to show that the bank’s values aren’t just text on a page in our strategic plan, but that they are truly the values that we are living by” said Marketing Coordinator, Mary Savage.

The donation is a gift to United Way’s 2012 LIVE UNITED Annual Campaign, which funds vital human service programs in our communities.
