Ames Community Bank Announces Mortensen Branch Lobby is Open
Ames, IA: Kurt Kuta, President and CEO of Ames Community Bank announces that the Ames Community Bank office on the corner of Mortensen and South Dakota will be opening the lobby for full-service on Monday, September 17, 2012.
“The plan to re-open the office lobby for full services has been in the works for a while. We felt the time was right to expand the services based upon the growing activity in West Ames and the feedback from our customers. With the expanded services and staff we hope to grow our existing banking relationships and invite the families and businesses in West Ames to stop in for a visit and see what our Bank and staff can do for them” Kuta said.
Ames Community Bank opened the office at the corner of Mortensen and South Dakota in June 2005. The office operated as a full service office until February 2010 when the lobby closed and has operated as a drive-up only facility for the past two and half years.
“We are excited to be re-opening the Mortensen location again so that we can provide full service banking to our customers in and from the West Ames market” said Robinson. “West Ames continues to grow and develop and we have a lot of opportunities to gain from that market area. We would like to thank our customers for being patient with us over the last few years as we were a drive-up only facility.”
The office offers a walk-up teller station, personal banker, loan officer, drive-up window and 24 hour drive-up ATM. Office hours are 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday – Friday.

Our main focus at Ames Community Bank is to serve and build relationships with our customers and the community. Making this branch a full service bank will allow us to better serve and strengthen our relationships with our customers and the community” said Mortensen Road Office Manager, Matt Pick.
To celebrate the lobby re-opening, the office is having an ice cream social on September 28th and a Family Fun night on October 18th from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
